Experience the museum in a new and exciting way by enjoying a night of brews, tunes and adventure. You can also make new friends, try new beers and wines, and participate in a fun activity while learning the heritage of South Texas and North-eastern Mexico. This event is for individuals 21 and over.
This month’s event will highlight the River Highway exhibit which explores South Texas history during the 1800s. Participate in a fun scavenger hunt with friends – or new friends! It’s a great way to meet new people while learning about South Texas history. Once you complete the scavenger hunt, head downstairs for a beer tasting provided by Karbach Brewing Company (learn more at karbachbrewing.com), a wine tasting AND a tasting of the RGV Texas Style Half and Half Tea (learn more at www.teasoftexas.com/rgv-texas-style-half-and-half/). And, pair your beer, wine or tea with Rudy’s BBQ brisket sandwiches, mixed vegetables and/or hummus.
Guests can also enjoy live music by South of Sarita, a local Edinburg band that plays an eclectic mix of genres ranging from Tex-Mex and country to rock and reggae. Founding members Chris Gonzales and Joseph Fox hope to express a unique style of music to the Valley that appeals to music lovers of all stripes.
