Fiesta de Noche Buena

Many Mexicans, Mexican-Americans and other South Texans celebrate the holiday season with traditional events, but perhaps no other event captures the spirit of joyous anticipation than La Nochebuena, or La Noche Buena. Although “noche buena” is translated to “good night” in English, the phrase also refers to Christmas Eve festivities. Marked by large gatherings of family and friends, La Noche Buena includes traditional foods, adornos or decorations, and sharing memories. You and your family can enjoy a blended border-spirit version of La Noche Buena at the Museum of South Texas History.

The special event admission fees are $8 for adults (ages 18+); $6 for seniors with ID (ages 62+), active military and students with ID (ages 13+); $5 for children (ages 4 to 12) and free for children ages 3 and younger. FRIENDS of MOSTHistory are admitted free as a benefit of FRIENDship and must provide an active FRIENDship card to enter free.
