¡Grito!

Bring the whole family to enjoy an afternoon at the museum. This two-hour event will highlight the start of New Spain’s struggle to become independent from Spain. New Spain territory covered all of Mexico and land along the Rio Grande and Nueces River. So, bring your best grito and join the fun!

ACTIVITIES
*Ojo de Dios craft activity [FREE]
*Lotería (candy prizes!)
*Grito contest (children and adult competitions)
*Folklorico performances by Grupo Folklórico Juvenil de Palmview and RGV Folklorico Dance Company

And, an event isn’t complete without some great snacks! Available onsite is an elote snack truck.

Regular admission prices (passes and coupons excluded): Adults (ages 18+) $7; seniors (ages 62+) , active military and students with ID (13+) $5; children ages 4 to 12, $4; children ages 3 and under are free.
