The Museum of South Texas History is pleased to announce its 30th Annual Heritage Ranch Gala (Gala) will be held the evening of March 22 at Jack and Tina Scoggins’ Los Novillos Ranch in Hidalgo County. Reservations will go on sale beginning March 1. A Valley tradition, Heritage Ranch Gala was originally conceived in 1984, along with the Heritage Associate donor program, as a way to develop support for the museum and raise community awareness of the region’s history. It seemed a perfect match to pair donor development with the region’s colonial ranching heritage. And the rest, as they say, is history!

Along with a beautiful ranch setting, good food and dancing under the stars, the Gala is also the time to recognize our most committed donors, Heritage Associate FRIENDS. These donors support MOSTHistory and its mission at the highest levels of FRIENDship. As honored guests, Heritage Associates receive complimentary Gala reservations on par with their level of giving. They are also recognized on the Gala invitation and for one year on the Heritage Associate Wall located inside the museum. The Heritage Associate Drive, an annual campaign to recruit Associates, is in full swing.

Development Committee Chairman Byron Lewis explains, “It’s not too late for new Heritage Associates to join this group of dedicated donors. Collectively, contributions from Heritage Associates make a significant impact on MOSTHistory’s special events, programs and exhibits offered to the community each year and support one-fourth of the museum’s annual operating budget.”
