MUSEUM STORE

No visit to the Museum of South Texas History would be complete without a visit to the Museum Store.  Known for its fine selection of books on regional, Texas and Mexican history and culture, the Museum Store also offers an eclectic collection of folk art, home accessories, jewelry, and other unique gift and souvenir items that capture the spirit of South Texas and Northeastern Mexico. Children love to explore the Store to find little treasures to take home that remind them of their Museum adventure.
The Museum Store’s purpose is to act as an educational extension of the museum by providing quality merchandise and generating revenue, assisted in part by volunteers, to support the Museum’s mission.
The Museum of South Texas History is a member of the Museum Store Association.

Borderlands: The Heritage of the Lower Rio Grande through the Art of José Císneros now available at The Museum Store for only $10. Commissioned by the Hidalgo County Historical Museum, now the Museum of South Texas History, Císneros’ illustrations depict scenes from the pre-Spanish period to Mexico’s war of independence. Borderlands would make a beautiful gift for any occasion.

Here are some ideas for special, borderland-spirit gifts!
